marquez wasn't down. he was on the ropes.

if the ref had stopped that fight (which they could have) marquez's career would've been nothing.

the nuthuggers love to ***** how cortez should of stopped the fight in the first round, and thats because Marquez came back and give Pacquiao an embarrassing schooling, but you dont see Mexicans bitching about how Pacquiao should of been DQ'd.

ever since the ****** joe cortez call a few months ago everybody loves talking about dq for hitting a downed opponent.

barrera touching up juanma was worse than what manny did. it was more intentional. he wasn't dq and that's was the RIGHT call.

you shouldn't win a fight while laying on your back/knees.

edit: also that was the reason why marquez stayed on the floor for a few seconds, he thought cortez was gonna do something about it but saw that he was giving him an 8 count and got up quickly

his glove touched the floor but he wasn't on the floor he was laying on the ropes. his body didn't touch the mat 'til after manny hit him while laying down on the ropes.

you don't stop punching because the opponents gloves touch the floor. just keep punching and wait for the ref to break it up to call it a knockdown.

you should make a legal or illegal punch poll.
