I think Cotto could definitely take the rematch. He knows what Margarito brings and unlike Margarito, Cotto could switch his game plan up. The only thing is can Cotto stick with the gameplan.

I think that Cotto lost that fight because he was so confident that at some point he was going to put marg down for acumulation of punches. In the first three round he gave all the mustard the he can gave to a lot of punches that he throws and marg take it like nothing, for me that was the time for him to realize " ok im not going to hurt or ko this guy so my only options are trying to win a decition" When you put a lot of mustard in your punches and you are trying to win a decition with a guy that put you to fight in a high work rate the most certain propability is that you are going to get tired. So the important thing here is win more points in every round, its not a who hit harder competition, a point its a point even if its with a jab. Look the Ivan Calderon fight he know already that he cant ko his 5 inch higher oponent in cazeres so he is prepare to box in an anti fan friendly fight and win a boring decition. I think that if cotto can have a better condition and he potshot marg, doesnt put a lot of mustard in his punches to save energy and if he is tired grab marg continously in the center of the ring besides going to the ropes he can grab a close decition. A un fan friendly victory but a victory its a victory so **** what the fans said. If he can put this thoug in his mind he can win.

like another poster said it would be life threatening for cotto to take another fight against margarito
specially cuz in the first fight he fought extremely defensive he never took a step forward he was always running and countering he played it very safe
it still didnt stop margarito from destroying him
I would honestly be more concerned with Margarito's health. Cotto took the nose shot and some nasty body shots, but he kinda shots Margo took are Parkinson causing material. His deffense was a good chin and that's it. Dont know how many more of those shots the guy can take without putting his mental health at risk.

                    hes fine dude
his resistance is so good he doesnt need to any defense
or else he woulda been koed already and would have been forced to change his style
no one at welter can hurt him let alone injure him

                      yeah, yeah, yeah
check out Benitez who was one of the best deffensive fighters I've seen, Ali, Taylor, Molina, ... list goes on and on. symptoms might not show up now, and I hope they never do, but might take its toll sooner or later.
