Margarito-Cotto Rematch Would be Life Threatening for Cotto

Cotto got beaten into submission he was forced to quit
he also got cut badly and got his nose broken and was bleding all over the place, not to mential the mental damage he was inflicted by tony
like another poster said it would be life threatening for cotto to take another fight against margarito
specially cuz in the first fight he fought extremely defensive he never took a step forward he was always running and countering he played it very safe
it still didnt stop margarito from destroying him

He will have learned I HOPE at least that to win that type of fight against Tony he gotta clinch.

If anyone's life is threatend its Margs with that no defence style of his, he cant just keep letting bombers Tee off on his noggin like that 1 day it will catch up with him man

Alot of people sayin that Cotto will beat Margo in a rematch by going forward and going to the body more.I think if Cotto uses that gaplan it will backfire on him and he'll get KTFO early.Cotto's best bet is to put the pedal to the medal and run more than the first fight to escape a close dec. at best or to fight Margo when he gets a little older.

I think he wins the rematch... he was doing great the first 6 rounds he just forgot the body punching and Margo busted his nose up. If he puts in the body attack in the second fight, which he can, he was pretty much landing on Margo at will and he stays away from the ropes he should win it.

No need for a rematch. It'd be entertaining again, but the outcome wouldn't change and would likely be worse for Cotto.

              You really think so?

You think he would do exactly the same thing and end up in the same place?

I highly doubt that ,Cotto is a smarter fighter to end up the way he did in the first fight.

              I say Cotto by UD

**** and as far life threatening is concerned .

If Margarito keeps fighting the way he does we will see him one day collapse in the ring due to Brain damage.

the thing that i don't get on these boards, is even though cotto was fighting a great fight, he was behind on the cards leading to the the 11th round(margo was ahead on two score cards).

so he very well was going to lose the decision anyway. if there is a rematch, and he try's something different, like trying to stand his ground, he will get smashed.
he would do better trying the same thing in the first fight, but he would still get smashed. sorry, but i just don't see him beating tony, at all.
