difference is the moment they see a pinoy prospect they hype him to the moon and he gets a title shot
that doesnt happen with mexican fighters they have to earn their way onto the spotlight the hardway

Who is "they?" All I hear about are fighters like Bautista and Banal, regional favorites who get media coverage because English is a common language in the country, whereas in Mexico it isn't.

You can't expect much media coverage in America when there is a language barrier.

And why is it always about race with some posters? A good fighter is a good fighter, regardless of where he's from.

ponce de leon got a lot of hype even though he couldnt fight and beat up on 115 and 118 pounders.

What are you talking about?? Are you saying that these pinoys are getting title shots after only like 9 fights?? That there are mexican fighters that are like 44-0 and still havent had a shot?? because im missing the part where its any easier for them to earn title shots than anyone else. Take Gorres 4 example. Dude arguably beat Montiel who's defended his title without much difficulty and arguably beat Darchinyan who is now yet another champ. Can you think of any1 that deserves a title shot at 115 more than that guy??

Whose fault would that be, if any fault exists, the WBO and WBA or the Philippines?

Which Mexican fighters are being deprived of title shots that "undeserving" Filipinos are getting? And don't say "a lot" because a lot isn't ranked.

That goes for any sanctioning body. You think given the history of the wbc they really thought a 40yr old francisco lorenzo was a worthy of a title shot??
