    greater:Vargas or Calzaghe(poll)

fernando vargas never became a Hall of fame fighter, but hes beaten very good to descent opposition, if he retired today he would have beaten opponents like Raul Marquez, Ike Quartey, Yori Boy Campas and Winky Wright all in their primes, Hes had memorable courageous losses to Oscar and Trinidad.

Joe Calzaghe is undefeated and is now thinking of retiring. Hes beaten Bernard Hopkins, Jeff Lacy, Mikkel Kessler and Sakio Bika.

If they both retired today, , who would be remembered as a greater fighter,Vargas Or Calzaghe,

Oh god another one of these crazy polls. Calzaghe and by a mile. Varags was pretty good in his day only, his day only lasted 3 years, while Calzaghe has been defending his title before Varags came pro.

Definately Vargas. Who the **** has Calzaghe beaten? A ****en nobody Mikkel Kessler? U only heard about him when he fought joe, before that, never. Not on mainstream boxing. Sakio bika? Who has he beaten and where the **** is he now? A contender ****en bum. And Lacy is wayyy overrated too. Cant even finish Manfredo, who was already tired after the 4th round of their fight. B-hop is okay, but he's wayyyy over the hill, not as much stamina, power, or speed like in the old days. And even at that he barely pulled a very close controversial split decision. Vargas fought toe to toe and even hurt an undefeated 38-0 Trinidad, gave De La Hoya his biggest beating aside Sturm, fighting a war with Mosley the first time, beat Quartey, beat Winky, beat Campas, beat Marquez, and went toe to toe with a crazy dangerous fighter like Mayorga and lasted the distance. Definately much better than joes sloppy ass.

i'm sure vargas could have defended an unrecognized wbo belt for years if he wanted to like a certain clown from wales. he chose to fight the best and even beat a couple of them. i would say its still close cause kessler, lacy, and eubank are or were good wins(hopkins he lost obv) vargas is greater though cause he doesn't swing like a feminine t****ze artist at the circus.

A lot of you guys have been watching boxing for a very short time. Calzaghe, before all the stings of broken hands ,he was actually very heavyhanded. Now the wear and tear of that, I think are starting to show. The last time he really was hitting somebody with force was against Jeff Lacy. Against Bika I noticed that he was holding something back, But still has fast hand, And his skills are still there. I can't wait till November.

How long u been watching calzaghe?? Im guessing the first time was the Lacy fight. He was just overhyped. I mean can u name any fighters who were that he beat who were good before Lacy? No. And dont use his hand issues as excuses, ALL fighters go through injuries and still fight the same way, its no excuse to throw ***** patter punches. And can you name ONE ELITE FIGHTER that Lacy, Bika, Eubank, Manfredo, Kessler, ever beat?? Recent to their fights with Calzaghe? No.

i don't take any views on calzaghe pro or con seriously if they list his wins and not mention guys like brewer , mitchell , eubank and reid while mentioning bika and lacy. i think sheika would beat lacy and bika for god's sake.

on a sidenote you aint special. so floyd jr. ****** your ****...... who hasn't gotten some head for junior?
