Better off making a straight win/lose bet anway. While the odds aren't as good as betting a win by decion or KO, it's safer. Having said that, there are times when you know a fight will go to the cards, and that can give you nearly double the odds, sometimes even better. You just have to be very judicious in how you place your bet, and never, EVER get caught up in the frenzy you'll sometimes see before a fight. That, young man, will lose you your ass in short order, and make your ******** house happy as hell.

I wouldn't go that far. Sometimes squeezing value out of a play by taking decision/ko is a great way to get a higher ROI. However, that is generally reserved for rarer occasions and nobody should ever make a habit out of it. Definitely stick to straight win/lose, but don't shy away from a ko/pts if you actually have a viable reason to pick it... not just a hunch or feelings.

A friend of mine in london told me the night of the hatton fight, people were practically convinced hatton couldnt lose agaisnt mayweather and bets for hatton skyrocketed all over the country moving the line to some rediculous margin
