i usually only bet on soccer, but it really ruins the games for me im a nerve wreck and have to skip the game
hopefully that wont happen when betting on the fights

Ok, one more thing then...if you're betting enough cash that it makes you nervous, or if you're betting cash you can't really afford to lose, STOP RIGHT NOW. Any cash you put down on a fight, you need to forget it as if it's gone< IMMEDIATELY. Don't think about it, don't worry about it, forget you ever had it. 'Cause I'm here to tell you, pal, that WILL sour you on the sport, betting, and will make you miserable. No point in that. If you're not having fun, don't ****ing do it.

Boxing is all about finding fights with good value. There are the occasional fight where the line is clearly being manipulated by Vegas because the public (ie: all of you) are ******s. The majority of my bets, in terms of actual $ wagered is generally on the o/u for rounds, as they tend to have the best value and require less of an insight if you wrap your mind around a few particulars.

I think betting on boxing is relatively easy in comparison to other sports, but only if you take the time to follow it properly. In most cases its not that hard to see how the styles and abilities of fighters match up, and usually in order to make you wrong a fighter has to come up with something you haven't seen from him before. I find I am almost always right in my fight picks, but a big part of that, as Stickman point out, is to know when you can't make a pick. I'm still annoyed with myself for coming down in favour of Cotto based essentially on his hype when my initial reaction was not to make a pick at all. I won't be forgetting it.
