To be serious RJJ is like Mike Tyson now. Instead of begging for rematch like Tyson did after Lewis fight, RJJ was begging for this fight to be made. Tyson losing to Williams and that Irish dude is the same as RJJ losing Tarver and Johnson

You guys need to seriously harness back some of the vocabulary being used around here... for instance... "SHOT"

Roy Jones Jr. although NOTHING like what he used to be.. (then again who is) is not a SHOT fighter...

Arturo Gatti, is a SHOT fighter... he got handidly beat down by Alfonso Gomez.

Jose Luis Castillo is a SHOT fighter.... he just got beat up on Wednesday Night Fights.

Evander Holyfield is a SHOT fight, no explanation necessary.


He had a bad 2 year situation going on in 2004-05... but since then he has proven he ISNT shot...

Has he proven he can beat an elite fighter? NO, we are yet to see that...

Has he proven he can still win a fight though? YES.
Has he proven he can still see openings and pull the trigger? YES.
Can he still block and avoid punches? YES.
Can he still counter punch? YES.

These are all things a truly SHOT fighter, are incapable of.

Are Anthony Hanshaw and THIS Tito Trinidad Elite fighters? NO, they are not elite fighters...

but can Anthony hanshaw and Tito Trinidad still beat a truly SHOT fighter... yes, they can beat a truly SHOT fighter, just like the guy who beat Castillo on Wednesday night Fights (forget his name).

If Roy was truly SHOT he would of been beaten up by Hanshaw, and he wouldnt of knocked him down.. ESPECIALLY in the 11th round of the fight...

If Roy was TRULY a SHOT fighter, he wouldnt of beaten EVEN THIS Tito Trinidad, and he WOULDNT of knocked Tito down TWICE in the fight, in the 7th and 10th rounds...


Now Ill repeat myself, Hanshaw and Trinidad are not elite fighters.... But a SHOT fighter would still lose to them.

A Shot fighter would not beat them, not knock them down... a SHOT fighter would of been beaten up by the both of them.


I wont sit here and tell you how Roy still has it, and how hes going to beat Joes ass... Do I think Roy can beat Joe? Yes I do... do I think Joe can beat Roy? Yes I do... It really comes down to how much Roy truly has left... but this much I know, a SHOT fighter he is not.

Wrong. Both Roy and Joe wanted this fight. Jones is not begging. If anyone is begging its Joe Calzaghe, begging for everyone to like him and say he is the best of the best of the best ever and what does he do? Fight Roy Jones jr. Joe is begging for recognition. FACT.
