Oh wait, there are differences there too. Damn, how do we account for all these supposed imperfections? I guess if only people were more intelligent history could have been done away with and these obvious morals would have been agreed upon. Since all those evil people created the foundations of civilization civilization itself must be evil too I suppose, so we should really start over. Luckily we're so superior now that we can understand these things.

As others pointed out, McClellan was human, and people act like he was a mass murderer. To rebut - you sound like the kind of person who takes all of these things to be obvious. I also don't argue, and my point was simply that they're not. The outrage that many express towards McClellan, whose circumstances they can't possibly relate to, is largely conditioned by their own lust for revenge against those who offend their sensibilities. Who is more cruel I wonder? Again, I don't condone what he did, but I find the glee many on here take in his current situation, and what they attribute it to, fairly disgusting.
I don't think that anyone was taking glee to what happened to him. More like it's harder to feel too badly for someone who was such a piece of **** as a person.
