Calzaghe by easy decision or late TKO, depending on his mood.

This is the argument that can be made, if you want.
Hagler fought at 160, mostly under the old weigh-in rules. Calzaghe fought at 168 and now 175 in the day-before weigh-in rules. Calzaghe has said he has long had trouble making 168 and talked about how weak he gets.
In Hagler's day, Calzaghe fights at 175 (and loses to Spinks and Qawi, but that's another story). We don't know how effective Hagler would be moving up in weight. He was a career middleweight.Comment

I actually think Calzaghe could give Hagler problems because of his size advantage and quick hands, we also don't know how Hagler would have done at 168, he wasn't really a big middleweight.
I'm not saying Calzaghe wins, I think Hagler would win a decision but I doubt it would be a blowout or demolition like some might think.Comment

Hagler would just be too much. Its incredible that to this day people still will not give Marvin the credit that he deserves. IMO he is clearly the best MW champion in history. I would actually pick him to stop Joe, despite the strength of Joe's chin.Comment

instinct says Hagler breaks Calzaghe's ribs and flattens his insides, but Zaghe might be able to **** a few rounds for fear of his dad spanking him.
Hagler by KO in about 5 or 6.Comment
