Zab Judah would be the p4p king if pro boxing was just 4 rounds.

I agree...I would call it underachieving...He has the potential to be a superstar...but he lacks the mental aspect of the game...Something else...he needs to go back to 140...The guys at 147 are just to strong for him.

After he KO Spinks, he really didnt do anything at 147 other than be a gatekeeper.

If he beat Floyd Mayweather, and then lost to Cotto, and then beat Clottey, I would say Zab is inconsistent.

When he fought Floyd, if he won rounds 1,3,5,7,9,11.. and lost 2,4,6,8,10,12... I would say hes inconsistent..

                      He isn't...

He lost to Floyd, Cotto, and Clottey... and does well in rounds 1-6 and that's it. (although in his last fight I thought he fought well... but also thought if the fight continued he could very well be stopped).

That's not inconsistent, hes just not an elite fighter. I would give him the gatekeeper position of the division though... Zab doesn't suck, but hes not great. If you can beat him, your ready for the elite, if you can't beat him, your not ready for the elite.

THIS IS Zab Judah, that is the fighter he is... Someone whose talented, but not in every part of the game... Boxing is as much mental as it is physical, Zab has the physcial, but doesn't have the mental... thats it, it isn't going to magically appear 70% into his career... This is who he is.
I agree. I think it's more than mental. Like somebody once said about Briggs, think it was Lewis, he said that some people just lack the world class stamina that others have....and I think its true. Judah is to fast for his own good. I think he "tricks" his mind into thinking he's in better shape than he actually is.

And as for the Clottey fight, the ONLY reason that he didn't really seem tired was because it was almost like he didn't let himself throw the left hand. He was just throwing htat weak, but fast right hand. That's another thing! He lacks a strong jab so he has to load up on his left to get respect.....like against Cotto and still couldnt hurt him.
