    Which Fight was the Fluke???

I am talking about Paul Williams and Carlos Quintana..

Quintana did a decent job of beating Williams up for 12 rounds..

The second fight was over way before anything about the 1st fight could really be deterimined...

Was it just a Lucky shot???

Should they Fight a 3rd fight???

Or do you think the 1st Fight was the fluke???

i really dont think Williams turned up for the first fight,

if they fought again i think Williams would probably stop him again, he just didnt seem there for the first fight,

For some reason, William's fans want to carry on as if the first fight never happened. Quintana went into the ring and practically put on a clinic for 3 minutes 12 times. That means that Paul Williams had 3 sets of 60 seconds 12 times to adjust and attempt to turn the fight around also meaning that Quintana effectively utilized skill to defeat a stronger and bigger opponent for 3 sets of 60 seconds 12 times or 36 minutes. For anyone to disregard such an accomplishment because of the way Williams avenged his loss is quite extraordinary.

If Quintana was willing to give Williams a rematch to allow redemption, there should be no reason why Williams should not do the same for Quintana. Each fighter embarrased the other in the best way they know how.

I don't think either fight was a fluke, Quintana boxed well in the first fight and deservedly won the decision, Williams made the neccessary improvements and adjustments in the second fight and caught Quintana early, of course it helped that Williams actually sparred with southpaws for the second fight.

I don't mind them having a third fight but a first round knockout is as definitive a statement as you can get.

both actually. i don't think quintana could put on another performance as well as the 1st, and i don't think will gets a ko in 1 round again either.

            That seems very reasonable...

I thought Quintana won 8 rounds clearly and 9 rounds overall in the first fight. The only thing Williams did different was let Quintana come to him. He did nothing to prove that he cant be outboxed once again.

I think people need to give Quitana more credit for his victory over Williams, I know he got knocked out in the rematch but he went 12 rounds with someone who throw about a thousand punches in a fight and he was able to nullify that by sticking his hands up and outbox williams, So i wouldnt call his victory a fluke, Williams was looking to make a statement in the rematch and you could see he wanted to take out Quitana from the word go so i wouldnt call that a fluke either.

If any fight was a fluke it was the rematch. And don't forget in the first round quintana started where he left off. He landed some clean loud shots to williams face. Williams landed one punch that hurt quintana and it was over from there. If you want to call a lucky punch that its. It's ****** people think the second fight proved something it didnt. The whooping quintana put on wililams for 12 rounds was far more impressive than the 1st round ko.
