I'm a believer in using common sense. Roy Jones was once the best fighter in the world. He hasn't had a significant win in five years and has been thought washed up since he turned 35. Joe Calzaghe, on the other hand, has had some of his biggest wins in those five years.

So regardless how old they are, they are not at the same stage in their careers. Get it?

So what are you saying then???
That they shouldnt let Jones no where near a ring,let alone fight calzaghe!?
One minute ppl are saying jones is gonna win ,then in the same breath saying hes old???

FACT is ,they are both old guys who have fought more or less the same amount of fights !

I don't agree that Salem really hurt Calzaghe, let alone got close to KOing him, though he hit hard enough to make Calzaghe quit brawling and box him. The only time Calzaghe has been close to getting KOd was against Mitchell, a noted puncher who caught him perfectly. That time, Calzaghe was hurt and on his way up from the count was definitely wobbing. Still, he was fine by the end of the count and we all know what he did next.

...he was badly hurt by Salem, and dropped solidly. if Salem didnt suck so much, there was a chance that he would have finished the fight. thank goodness he didnt, and I hope I never have to see a Calzaghe that bad ever again.

the difference between 36 and 39 as a fighter are not the same difference as 26 and 29... although with your response right there, I dont expect you to understand that.
