I can't lie. I first saw him during Mijares-Navarro and that bout really impress me. After watching the fights with Kawashima, Arce, and others then paying for the Munoz fight I really became a big fan.

Donaire has shown no evidence that he is not a pound for pound fighter skillwise. He just needs the names at flyweight and they were cleary avoiding him. I read in an article that he is defending his flyweight titles at flyweight and maybe looking at the champions at super flyweight down the road.

Luis Maldonado is a good fighter. He fought to a draw with Mijares because again, he is technically sound and a pretty good counter puncher and Mijares often abandones his best weapons and trades. Styles makes fights. I really can't see Mijares beating Donaire for that same reason. Donaire could not only punch but he has a great track record against southpaws and can box.
    Three things:

    1. Stop reading Ronnie's articles if you seriously believe that Naito and Sakata are ducking Donaire. Why hasn't Donaire try to go after Omar Navarez either? All he mentions are "The japanese are scared to fight me" If he had any "plain and basic common sense" he would know the japanese don't recognize the IBF as a title (or the WBO for that matter).

    2. Mijares is a totally different fighter and no one has even seen Mijares-Maldonado except for 1 person on this forum. It could have been a robbery since Mijares gets ****ed up judges or so it seems. **** it might have been close, but Mijares has improved since then anyway.

    3. Donaire has had sucess against southpaws because Vic has no defense once so ever. Neither does Maldonado for that matter, but I think Maldonado is a switch hitter who starts off right handed.
