Tito vs Oscar cuz the wrong guy won. And I'm no big Oscar fan, I was rooting for Tito that night, but I'm just being honest.

I have to disagree with Tito v. Oscar and think De La Hoya vs. Mayweather was more of a dissapointment not because of the die hard fans expectations but because of the general public and hype expectations put out for the fight.

The Tito fight didn't get as much hype as the Mayweather fight and wasn't as big of an event. Also the the amount of people who bought the fight and the amount of promotion spent on it. Because of this it was more disappointing. There where higher expectations for this fight.. It was supposed to "save" boxing.. as if for some reason boxing was dead. Anyway, this is why I think Mayweather De La Hoya was more disappointing.. more people tuned in, it was a huge event, so much money was spent on it and air time as well and the fight was mediocre.

Tito-DLH was more disappointing because it was supposed to be a balletic slugfest of a fight with lots of action, but it was a De La Hoya boxing clinic with four rounds of running away. DLH-PBF was gonna be disinteresting and somewhat dull, and we got what we expected.

This thread title should be more specific. To actual boxing fans, or the casual sports center viewer that catches a highlight video once every 3 months. To any boxing fan, obviously it has to be Tito-DLH. I'd expect more even from a Cory Spinks fight. Well, maybe not a Spinks fight.. Anyway that matchup was meant to be huge. It wasn't all bad, but any fight where one guy spends the last 3-5 rounds running away can't be good, certainly not great.

Oscar - Mayweather was just what it was supposed to be. Two elite fighters on the highest skill level stickin to their guns. Mayweather coming in light to have the edge in speed, Oscar, for some odd reason, trying to take Mayweather's head off. I enjoed that fight, I guess I'm the only one here that did. For the non boxing fans it was terrible. That's what you get when you have HBO interviewing celebrities that are saying "IT'S GONNA BE A SLUGFEST! ONE FIGHTER GETTING KNOCKED DOWN, GETTING UP AND KNOCKING DOWN THE OTHER! FIGHTING OFF THE ROPES, BLOOD AND GUTS!.." That's what happens when the top boxing network takes advantage of their power to promote..

DLH vs. Trinidad was because everyone knew Floyd was gonna run like a ***** and bore us to death.

^^^People talk about Floyd. But Oscar never tried to hit him in the middle of the ring. Just when he was in the ropes. Floyd made him look dumb and ppl cheered as oscar hit nothing
