Their is a reason Calzaghe chose Jones for his last fight. He would not have fought Jones 5 years ago. He chose him now for his name not the challenge. Lacey, Kessler, Calzaghe, these were all good wins for Joe but not great. Those are 3 fighters in 45 fights. Joe spent 10 years being a euro fighter and to put him in the p4p top 5 you are mental. What means more than if you win is how you win. Pavlik would punch his ****ing lights out and Joe knows it.

Jones spent his whole career being a yank fighter. To put him in the top 5 p4p would be mental. He never went to europe and he never fought at legendary venues like Wembley Arena.

Calzaghe fights in Europe because he lives there. It's simple geography. Also, it's hard enough for a euro fighter to get a title shot against an American. Joe was a world champion. Why should a world champion have to take a step out of his backyard? Why didnt no top American fighters want to travel to Britain to fight Joe? I will tell you why, because they all knew who Joe was, and all knew how dangerous he was. I have respect for Lacy because he did what no American boxers do, and that have the balls to fight outside their own backyard.
