Tyson wouldn't fight him when he was young, in fact Tyson paid off Lewis in 1996, dropped the WBC belt and fought Bruce Seldon instead for his belt. Lewis won a vacated WBC belt against Oliver McCall instead.

Tyson took the Lewis fight in 2002 because he needed money.

Holyfield was favored against Lewis, in fact a lot of people predicted an early KO.

that's not true, Tyson fighting Lewis at his peak would have been brutal..Tyson was undisputed Lewis was fresh out of the Olympics.

Lewis would never have been able to fight Tyson in his prime.

True, Tyson's prime was '88 but he balked when approached in 1996 for the fight.

Mike got more $ for the Holyfield fight in '96 and woulda lost to Lennox at that point anyway. In '02 it was the sport's biggest fight but Mike was way past it. Lennox should get cred for beatin Holyfield who had 2 belts, had just upset Mike when he was still borderline prime, and destroyed Moorer in the rematch. He had nothin left after '03, although he shoulda given Vitali a rematch before he walked. Lennox was still a beast tho.

thats true Lewis had a glass jaw Tyson would have gotten him out of there in 2 rounds in his prime and Holyfield would have beaten him by short or long route in his prime

he is one of the most overrated HW ever
