Yes, and he lost. To a Holyfield who was thought to be done. Just a year before that Holyfield looked like a fish deprived of water for three days getting stopped by Rid**** Bowe. It was thought that he shouldn't even be fighting anymore at that time.

Yeah, but Holyfield past prime or not was a seasoned elite professional fighter, whereas Tyson was trying to put himself back together to get back into championship form. His fights against McNeely, Seldon, Mathis jr didn't actually help, against a machine like Holyfield.

Personally, I thought Tyson didn't get the seasoning he needed after spending 3years in the can, then they threw him in with the dogs. There was too much $$$ to be made that's why they rushed putting Tyson in with Holy and Lewis.

I can't blame Don King though. Tyson was so freakin' messed up mentally, emotionally coming out of prison. DK had to do things fast before Tyson completely deteriorated. And as we already know, Tyson spent a few more times in jail.

I think Don King really thought Holyfield was finished and beating a good name fighter like him would have lent much needed credibility to his return.

if he is anything like the fighter he was before he will win, but with his inactivity and age he may not be the same, also the possibility of him getting injured before or during the fight, im hopeful he will be ok

Everyone is responsible for themselves in and before a fight. If Klitschko loses, he knew the risks involved and will have lost to a fighter who was the better man that night.

Klitschko's face was literaly falling off. Lewis is one of the greatest HW to ever step into a boxing ring. When he was focused, no one could stop him. He avenged all his losses, and stood at one point as the greatest boxer in his era. It's a good thing, the ref stopped the Klitschko fight. I think more damage would be done from the consistent Lewis. And although it seemed as though he was struggling in the fight, he managed to stick through it, and caused the massive damage to Vitali which forced the end to the fight. And that devestating straight right and left hooks were too much for Vitali. To disrespect Lewis, is disrespecting any HW boxing talent that was capable and gifted of doing what Lewis did in his time.

True. I think the only version of Tyson that would have stood a chance against Lennox was the one that knocked Spinks out in 93 seconds. Post jail Tyson was all done.
