    Skilled Fighters with terrible records...

Can be anyone you know or have watched whose fight record doesn't match up with their skill set. Give their records and details (the more obscure the better)...ex:

    1. Emanuel Augustus
    38-29 and 6 draws
73 fights, stopped 3 times. We all know about him, outside of JLC, gave P4P great, Floyd Mayweather, his toughest fight to date. Good all around skills, great defense...

    2. Joseph "PoP" Figueroa
    aka "Trouble"
    9-49 and 5 draws

63 fights, only been stopped 1 time... why? Because he's probably the best defensive fighter you never heard of. No exaggeration... I don't know why he doesn't win fights but skills definitely ain't the problem!!! Close decision losses to world champions Nate Campbell, Kennedy Mckinney and Tracy Patterson...

Emanual Agustus is a good one and i agree there. Another one would have to be Terry Norris. His record wasn't actually horrible, but in some fights he would get disqualified for doing ****** things like hitting below the belt or after the bell. Very weird considering they were fights that he was winning easily. His opponent that he was fighting has to go down as the only fighter to ever to both win the title and defend it on disqualifcation. Glen Johnson and Carson Jones are other names that comes to mind. Their managment did a horrible job becuase they often took fights on short notice when they were not prepared.

Marquez is getting there, he's been robbed a few times he deserved at least a draw with Pacquiao in their second match, and he beat Chris John.

I wouldn't say he was robbed in the 2nd Pacquiao fight. I had Pac winning, and even if it could be a draw or even a marquez win, that doesn't mean he was ROBBED. It means he should stop getting knocked down.. Besides Marquez is far from a terrible record.

yeah, Marquez's record is good; Meldrick Taylor, I'll concede that he was better than the guys he lost to post Chavez, so those losses might fool some ppl. Carson Jones is still young so he could turn things around & Glen Johnson is a good example. I'd also like to add Shamir Reyes to the list, who turned pro at like 16, I think. Shady/inexperienced management plays a big part in most of those guys' careers.

Wtf are you guys talking about? Since when do Marquez, Johnson, Soto or Phillips have terrible records? A bunch of losses, sure, but each guy has over 40 wins for ****s sake! 44-7 is not a terrible record at all. Its an excellent one.

I don't know. I've seen Norris get smoked a time or two with some pretty terrific shots that had him completely out so his record is fine.
Glen Johnson is a judge's nightmare.
