he's right. a couple of losses does not make a bad record. What I meant was for posters to list fighters with records that don't indicate how skilled they actually are...

Thanks for pointing out Figueroa, I had never seen him before. Very bizarre that he didn't go further, looked skilled. Pipino Cuevas didn't have a great record, but he's one of the all time best welterweights. 35-15 (31), but he made 10 title defenses of the WBA welter strap before he bumped into hearns. He was 10-0 (9) in those defenses. He broke the jaws of Harold Weston, Angel Espada and Scott Clark. Won the title at age 18.

Fritzie Zivic had 65 losses, more than most of today's boxers have fights.

Glen Johnson does not have a terrible record but he dropped a lot of close decisions after losing to Hopkins.

Saoul Mamby lost a lot of fights but he fought all of them, won the WBC light welterweight title and was only stopped once at nearly 50 years of age.

Yeah ole Saoul fought this March at the young age of 60.
He lost a decision to a journeyman.
He hadn't fought in 7 years or so.
          Just incredible.
