Anyone heard any news on this fighter? He’s an up-and-coming hw prospect that has been on the rise for the past couple of years, but has been relatively quiet in 2008 (he fought once against journeyman Derrick Rossey). Any purported fights on the horizon? Is he a sparring partner for any top hw’s?...
Alexander Dimitrenko

Co-sign; this would be a great test for Haye and would be a 'tell all' of whether he's got the goods at hw or not. However, I doubt Haye's management would put him in with such a dangerous first opponent. Look for Haye to fight Rahman, Toney, Golota, or Barrett for his Nov fight...Comment

Dimitrenko has a lot of potential.... 6'7 250 lbs, excellent jab, athletic, good handspeed and footwork for a big man, good chin and he hits hard.
He is ranked #1 by the WBO and might end up being a mandatory for Wlad in 2009.Comment

Dimitrenko is too big of a risk for Haye....Haye only wants to fight old shot fighters like Rahman, Toney, Maskaev or Golota....He wants to take the easy route to a mega payday against Wlad.Comment

Lol, I was just looking him up today to see if there is any news on him. Last I heard, he had some issues with his promoter, I hope he fights some time soon. I consider him one of the best, if not THE best, HW prospects at the moment.Comment

Are you kidding? Dimitrenko is as tough and difficult as they come. Add to that incredible stamina, pretty good fundamentals, and the attitude and you'll see that Haye will not even come close to fighting him.Comment

His inactivity is killing me, I hope he and his promoters aren't just waiting around for a title shot now.....Comment

I was just throwing it out there LOL!
IMO it's a fight Haye should be gunning for, I expect Haye-Toney to be announced some time in the next two weeks however.Comment
