    I fully expect Collazo to give Berto a good fight, and he could even pull off the W.

    but he really has "sat on his ranking" so to speak

    and more power to him that he doesn't have to worry about the 4 belt holders plus Cotto, Cintron, Judah and Quintana, pushing him down in the rankings

    but im stricktly looking at Luis Collazo's record in a "what has he done" heck even that Interim title shot vs Mosley Luis just shuffled into it, and it really looks the same vs Berto

    still though should be a good fight assuming Berto gets by Forbes, as I'd put Collazo a very live underdog if he really does get that crack at Berto.

    *just looked at WBC's rating's and I'd put Cotto ahead of Collazo .. even coming off a loss Miguel Cotto is a much more qualified #1

    but g**** to Luis as he didn't even have to win a WBC eliminator.

      Good stuff.
      I hope Luis gets a decent opponent, I heard he looked great last time out, so I hope he does it again.
      Also Andre Berto has to do an awesome job against Forbes. Forbes just got beat by an old man, and while that old is a GREAT fighter, hes still past his prime.
      Hope both men do well and face off, Id like to see Berto step up, and Collazo get another crack.

        its not designed to make him look good because no one except for the fans in attendance will even see the fight, cause the undercard will not be televised. i just know he will look incredible though. tune-ups are designed to prepare you for the real ****, without the risk. that way he can design his training regiment so he peaks for berto, when he will need to be in top form.

        you cant really blame the guy for sitting on his ranking and waiting to capitalize on berto. hes the ripest of the champs to be dethroned. also, luis has been ****ed by the system before, from being unable to get a fight to getting the hatton fight taken from him in what should have been his breakout victory. then he had bad luck against mosley with the broken hand in the 2nd round. so basically, he has to be careful. he may be from bk, but he's not zab judah, he won't get 1,000,000 paydays and opportunities regardless of his performances... he's gotta have a smart business plan, a slick fight plan, execute both like his name was bernard and capitalize....

          [QUOTE=mspiegelo;3937227]Heres some news....

          HBO is barely promoting this Mosley-Mayorga fight. word on the street is mayorga is not clsoe to making 154 by any means. mosley will still fight him but its becoming even more of a circus act so HBO isn't gonna hype it too much. mosley should take him out just like the other A- level fighters who finished him.

          Collazo will fight an opponent T/B/A on the undercard at the home depot center. he will look good and then berto is next. after forbes, berto has 3 months to fight luis, or he loses the belt just as easily as he got it (WBC is strict on this now- just ask Dawson).

          i will be taking bets on collazo for those who give me odds (berto will be the favorite, and he's the top prospect with amazing talent- come on!). it will be a good fight and i honestly can't predict the winner with my boxing brain, but I like Luis's style- sharp, slick, defensive prowess, SOUTHPAW, can **** or box, fast, not a lot of power, but enough to get respect. Your thoughts?!?...

          I had a feeling that Marorga would have trouble with the weight. He hasn't boxed at 154 in a while and he's not excatly a picture of good condition. If you want to bet on the Berto fight Spiegelo just let me know. It should be a pretty competitive fight. Very good style match up.

                I don't doubt it.. Mayorga had to gain hella weight to fight Vargas.. what was it 170 pounds?? I doubt he took that weight off afterward.
