Margarito beat up cotto, williams beat margarito, and i think cotto would easily beat williams. It makes for a pretty interesting triangle if it ever ends up happening.

Why? Because Cotto said so? That makes it so?

How about all the other guys who took bad beatings or were badly outclassed and did NOT make it back? In fact, i have more examples of guys who did NOT make it back than guys who did.

In fact, when is the last time that Cotto beat somebody 'inside'? I saw him moving away from Shane the last 4-5 rounds, and moving away from tony the WHOLE NIGHT.

What is this "inside fighter" myth with Miguelito?
Who is that on your avatar??

Paul Williams might just be the best WW. Lets see if he beats Marg again, which if he does, Im sure the excuses will be pouring in from the Margarejects.

He didnt do it because Margarito protected his body as much as he could.

Throughout the whole fight with the exception of the last couple rounds Margarito was very protective of his body. He had his elbows tucked right up against his ribs and stomach and was willing to sacrifice his head instead of his body.

In the long run it worked he still had significant punching power, wasnt worn out, yet he had a marshmellow head he won the fight.

Nobody is saying that Cotto should have fought Tony inside. Did I say that you ****tional ****?

I was responding to a claim that that Miguel is an inside fighter. Miguel is NOT. not in general...and he couldn't beat Williams by "coming inside" as the poster claimed.
            Calm down Flower!
Miguel is a versatile fighter who can choose wherer to box or rumble in close as he has done before, Emanuel Stewart called him the best short range puncher since Mike Tyson.
Not put too much thought into a Cotto Williams fight but i dont see why he couldnt, williams is human after all unlike that other freak!

A lot of people were expecting to see Cotto hang with Tony a lot more than he did.

Which is the point DIOS is making about Miguel's strengths in various areas being overstated.

He is already in the process of fighting Kermit Cintron.

Everyone is overplaying that fight as far as the beating Cotto took.

They both were ****** up pretty bad but Margs didnt cut. If he cut everyone would be going nuts about how much of a beating he took.

lol his "revenge" wasn't that stunning he looked sloppy as **** trying to finish off a cold Quintana, not to mention he was thoroughly out boxed over 12 rounds. The first Quintana fight was NOT a fluke but exposed weaknesses in Williams that still remain.

If he got severely KOed with an ambulance escorting him out then I could say,

Wow I dont know if he is gonna bounce back. The guy was fine and looked fine after the fight.

You'd maybe have an argument if Williams hadn't just lost to Quintana. Sure, he avenged it but it's a fight the top welterweight should not lose. Secondly, Williams resume is a joke. He's going to fight another bum at the end of the year when he should be fighting top welters...
