that is a ****ing ****** thing to say

    hopkins has fought guys like

    roy jones jr
    jermain taylor
    william joppy
    antonio tarver
    winky wright
    felix trinidad
    de la hoya

and the list goes on...im not really a huge b-hop fan so theres probably some more names there

and of course we all know about joes ****ty resume

plus, b-hop unified a division and beat some realy good fighters doing it, then made heaps of defences

he a top 10 mw of all time and mw is stacked with great fighters so that really says something

i cant believe you said joe had a better career than b-hop......

watched it again last night, twice.......115-113 Hopkins....Calzaghe lost the first 3 rounds with one being a 10-8 round.....they went back and forth but the knockdown was the difference!

Who had Hopkins fought at the age Calzaghe is now, 36?

Calzaghe's career is still going on, Hopkins' is pretty much done.

            You are delusional.

Hopkins fought NO ONE between winning the title and unifying with twi WELTERWEIGHTS.

He beat Glen Johnson, but Johnson lost to Sheika, whom Calzaghe beat.

Joe's twenty defenses were at least as solid as Hopkins.

Hopkins lost TWICE to Jermain Taylor.

Calzaghe fought the more promising American middleweight (check the press and polls from '06, Lacy was much more highly regarded than Taylor), and won every second of the fight.

Hopkins has failed to come out victorious in SEVEN fights.

most of the time he charged in wildly b-hop just nailed him with a short right or tied him up

b-hop dropped him also, and there were many other times he showed how open joe is when he flies in with his little slaps

he never had b-hop hurt, and at no one time was b-hop looking subpar or slopy, but joe certainly was looking poor

joe made it close with his constant attack and b-hop admittedly didnt throw enough to firmly secure the win but b-hop should have won a close decision IMO

either that or a draw which i can accept
I agree with what you said. I think it was more of a DRAW. BUT the SD is about right. I don't mind it as long as PEOPLE understand Joe Calzaghe didn't defeat HOP, he more or less played the children's game of tag and got the last touch. Hop landed the CLEAN/HARDER punches, yeah you may think it wasn't enough to win. What makes anyone think Joe did ENOUGH to win other than TOUCH more? Joe swung his arms as fast as he could praying to touch HOP to score his OLYMPIC style WIN as always. HOP made Joe like the AVERAGE Joe.

Yes he did OUT TOUCH HIM so if playing tag in the ring is how you score than he won by a little more than a few points. I just think its sad when people can talk about there hero beating HOP when all he did was out touch him. A 43 year OLD man that came out of the fight laughing and with OUT one single mark on his face is SAD. Also HOP didn't look TIRED, I've seen him tired. He looked like he Passed himself for a "SLOW" fight, "like always". I think TAYLOR and TARVER worked B-BHOP more than Joe Calzaghe did. So "at the end of the day" (how annoying after the 20th time) Joe touched HOP slightly more to get the very SAD SD.

Joe or anyone should NOT be saying he "BEAT" HOP but more so say he out scored HOP by playing touch and slap. Everyone talks about HOP grabbing and using his head, legs, hands, neck, shoulders, back, nose, ears etc etc. Didn't everyone KNOW since DAY ONE that HOP started BOXING that this is his STYLE? Its nothing NEW. Its not "cheating", if it was "CHEATING" he would NEVER WIN because of the "DQ" or points being deducted. So this "CHEAT" theory is FALSE, joe and his "sheep" fans our just mad that he looked like ****. Either your a new fan of the sport or you are "as always" trying to make JOE Calzaghe's SD better than what it REALLY was. SAD. Again SD was about right, especially if you go by the OLYMPIC controversial (TAG) scoring.

The "cleaner harder punches" means about FOUR punches in the fight. You need at least SIX ROUNDS to win, and you can't do that with only four punches.

Could have gone either way in my opinion. Maybe it should have been a draw since about half the people thought Calzaghe won and the other half thought Hopkins won.

Nah. The initial polls after the fight were about 85-90% for Joe.

The only ones who thought Hopkins won are the kind of people who call Joe "Calslappy." Internet xenophobic ****** fanboys who've been following boxing for six months.

I would rather forget that the whole fight even happened.

Made both of them look bad to be honest.
