Actually, Joe was on the radio last night saying that Pavlik has ducked him twice, once when Jow wanted him as a tune up instead of Bika and another time after one of the Taylor fights, didn't say which. So whether its true or not, you do hear people say it. Please realise as well that its only since Joe made it clear he was going to fight Jones that Kelly's people have been saying he wants Calzaghe.

I think right now Pavlik is pretty much ducking Abraham, I haven't heard a word about the Armenian out of his mouth since Arthur decimated Miranda, and straight after Lockett when Max Kellerman basically told him that Abraham was his only meaningful fight, Kelly basically said he wasn't going to fight him.

Pavlik waited till Joe was over the hill to fight him.

I hope you realise that if Calzaghe is telling the truth that makes it even worse.Why would he want Pavlik when he was an unproven comodity at the time and now that he has proven himself against an elite fighter in Jermain{regardless of what you say}he says "Pavlik is not worthy".If it is true why would they want a fight with him back then when his status wasn't as high and then when he is a champion they say "Kelly is not worthy" the words that came out of Enzos mouth.What made him a challenge back then?

I don't know but it will be the biggest fight at middleweight so if it doesn't happen then you claim ducking.Pavlik is not going to retire any time soon and Abraham isn't going anywhere either,why rush it?

Had he fought Kelly after Lacy, it would have been a tuneup fight, Kelly had no rep beyond being a fairly decent prospect, but would probably have been a bit better a tuneup opponent than Bika for attracting some American attention.

its pretty much understood pavlik is willing to fight abraham. the plan was originally pavlik has a fight while he waits for abraham to fight his mandatory then they go at it in 2009. Then theres a possible opening for pavlik to fight calzaghe so he takes it... because pavlik made it clear he wants to fight calzaghe before anyone else.


And by the way i would rather see pavlik fight abraham then calzaghe it would be a much better fight
