pavlik would have fought abraham instead of hopkins but abraham has a mandatory its that simple. imagine pavlik saying hey arthur i'll fight you after hopkins then suddenly pulls a joe and retires.

I love this excuse. A mandatory? Abraham wasnt worried about mandatories when he destroyed Miranda easier than Pavlik did and then called his ass out live on American TV.

Pavliks people started negotiating with welterweights and a guy they labelled an old man.

Sturm might as well not exist to them also

Abraham did not destroy Miranda easier than Pavlik did! Pavlik never recieved a broken jaw and did not have to fight by retreating and Miranda didn't recieve five points in penalties that would frustrate any fighter.Pavlik was the first to knock him out and take away his aura of invincability.Pavik has stated plenty of times that he would like to fight Abraham and so did his promoter Arum.Kelly is not going to retire any time soon so this fight will happen.Pavllik will lose but it will still be entertaining while it lasts.

The 2nd fight. Abraham beat the **** with a broken ****in jaw. Aura of invincibility my arse!

Abraham was never approached for Pavliks next fight. Williams, Winky and Hopkins were.

Arthur was willing to put aside his trinket belt to fight Miranda the second time, why would he care about keeping it if he has the chance to beat the linear champ and make a truck load more cash???

I have no doubt Pavlik will follow a similar path though, all signs point to it.
                Mosley ducked Mayweather.

Not once has Abrhams people complained they offerd a fight to Pavlik and his team and they turned it down.Abraham may have negotiated with the IBF to postpone his mandatory for a rematch with Miranda. There have been no reports from boxingscene or any other reliable source that Abraham will not fight Marquez or that he will pay Marquez a step aside fee for Pavlik. That is just pure speculation.

Isnt it Pavlik who should be offering Abraham terms? They never tried to approach Abraham. They began their search in the welterweight division.
