And how incredible a fighter he was. Triple left hooks, crazy speed and athletic ability.

i agree i would not like to go into to much detail about SRL myself cause id come off as a complete deluded fool cause i rate him so highly

Jones has the talent to beat any fighter in history though and he has a terrific Boxing brain people tend to overlook that aswell

Who can you list for Jones????
        James Toney *
        Bernard Hopkins *
        Trinidad at 170???
        Virgil Hill
A blown up Vinny Pazienza at 168???
Leonard has definitely beaten the better opposition, there's no doubt about that, you forgot about Benitez. Ayub Kalule was a pretty good fighter as well.

Jones has fought a lot of past world titlists though. Glen Johnson, Tarver, Harding, Woods, Gonzalez etc. but it definitely doesn't stack up to Leonard's.

I think people underate Roy at times because he didn't always fight the best competition. In other words, they look at who Roy and think it wasn't that he was that good, his competition was just that bad. I honestly don't think thats true, even if he faught more great fighters, I think in his prime he was really was great.

Leonard has balls of steal aswell not many other fighers would have took it to Kalule and Lalonde when they were fighting out of their natural weight divison especially Lalonde who was a stong guy

Jones had the talent and ability to beat possibly everyone (pound for pound) throughout history but you cannot, I repeat, CANNOT place him above Leonard who beat the better opposition.

Ironically, save for the mainstream clout, Leonard and Jones were quite similar. Another irony is that Leonard lost it far earlier than Jones did. I wonder how these new fans would take that now.

I should have typed 'fought' instead of 'beaten'. My bad.

                    Edit: Edited.

I think Roy's win over Montell Griffin is impressive. When you think about it, Griffin gave a prime Roy trouble. Then he gave James Toney trouble. For Roy to starch him in under 3 mins, that to me say something. Griffin is a legend was no bum.
