On Topic: Yes, we all want our opinions respected. However, some go about it in such a way that they come to hate a fighter. Guled is always trying to discredit Kessler, and it has led him to just hate all the time imo. That is the wrong way to go.

So lets TALK boxing respectfully!

Abadger, I think you get too serious sometimes especially over Joe and I think you just need to relax and take a break from some of the JOE CALZAGHE HATE threads. I agree with you on a lot of topics as long as Joe Calzaghe is not in it. Once you get on that level, man you are a different person. Hence why I always say the Joe Calzaghe fans get OVERLY emotional about him because you all do. It is easy to see.

I think the best thing to do is what I do. I don't need to EXPLAIN anything about my favorite boxer. If someone doesn't like him, I know what he has done and could care less what others think. Especially if they "try" and bash him.

Anyway, good posts. All I wanted to do was drop a line and say, I don't take this site that serious where my feelings get hurt and even though our favorites are facing each other in NOV doesn't mean we must be enemies does it?

Not at all, and you'd be surprised, the main reason I go into Calzaghe hate threads is usually to have a laugh! It gives me an excuse to stop being sensible and considered and type some vitriolic abuse, but I don't really mean it, except when someone is being exceptionally ******ed

Basically with me, the way you talk to me is the way I'll talk back, but I wouldn't worry about hurting my feelings any!

He just wants his opinions respected too, its like I said in my post, he thinks because guys like me rate Kessler it a bash on the American big boys. I got quite a bit of sense out of him today just by asking him what he thought about Kessler, but it didn't last

A lot of people treat opinions that they read on here as though they're facts.

I for one used to bark at the Calzaghe fans who used to act like Joe was a god amongst men but those posters are few and far between now. What's left are a few solders like abadger and KrisSilver who i might add are very fair and objective when it comes to Calzaghe but day in and day out, it looks like they're on the defensive becasue the haters just aren't being fair and objective about Calzaghe.

Why should they keep bothering with reason, when that **** backfires on them anyways?

Being a Calzaghe fan is a lose, lose situation.

agree, but its the same with Roy jones Jr. I just don't go far and beyond to defend him. But I will say there is more hate on Calzaghe than any other fighter. Mayweather is next in line!

I don't understand how anyone can think little of Jermain Taylor when his biggest win isn't all that different from Calzaghe's. In fact, it was against a much younger version of the same fighter.

I think everyone needs to take a long look in the mirror and evaluate their own objectivity. Irony of ironies...
