Even if Roy did fight better comp. I get the feeling he would still have been great. Roy was crazy in his day. But Ali is better all time, I don't doubt that.

RJJ was the greatest athlete, dont know about boxer

the question should be comparing RJJ and SRL as p4p greatest
Muhammad Ali defeated almost every top heavyweight in his era, which has been called the golden age of heavyweight boxing. Ali was named "Fighter of the Year" by Ring Magazine more times than any other fighter, and was involved in more Ring Magazine "Fight of the Year" bouts than any other fighter. He is an inductee into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and holds wins over seven other Hall of Fame inductees. He is also one of only three boxers to be named "Sportsman of the Year" by Sports Illustrated. He is regarded as one of the best pound for pound boxers in history. He was a masterful self-promoter, and his psychological tactics before, during, and after fights became legendary.

For once I agree with you on a Roy Jones topic.

Placing Roy above Ali on a p4p basis is ludicrous. Roy might match Ali in terms of his skill level but when you compare the resumes of the two fighters it really is not very close. Ali is a top 5 p4per whilst Roy is probably in the top 20.
