I like the avatar, Calzaghe's pose is hilarious LOL and i can't believe he gets away with it!?!?
I wasn't talking about Calzaghe's career either, going to the Olympics and getting gold doesn't mean you'll make it as a pro. Most do mind but still.Comment

There is only a handful of Olympic medalists who don't make it in the pros. Dude even if you don't become a world champ in pro after you win a medal, you know how many offers an amateur fighter gets when they win a medal? They get great exposure and many other benefits that fighters with little or no amateur background would never have.Comment

OMG, I think you might be on to something here.
Olympic bouts are held under standard amateur rules.
The rules CLEARLY state that for a punch to score, the white portion on the knuckle of the glove must connect cleanly with the head or body of your opponent.
This would put a slapper like Joe Calzaghe at a servere disadvantage, and would render him unable to amass an impressive record of 110-10.
This is by far the best logic I have ever seen in the history of the internet.
Some people are just ****ing muppets.Comment

Fair play but at the time they won the medals, who knew for certain they would make it professionally?
Like i say a medal is good but it means nothing when you go pro.Comment

C'mon man get real, people here started talking about Khan when he had like 10 wins, you would have never heard of him if he wasn't a medalist. Same for Audley.Comment
