If so thats why I'd say you think Calzaghe didn't look that good against Kessler, he is no power puncher.
I know he isn't, but usually he makes up for it by throwing wild punches from all sorts of angles. That's why Calzaghe is actually one of my 3 fav boxers (Hatton, Calzaghe and Kessler), Kessler because I'm danish Calzaghe fought more like a "normal" boxer against Kessler. And Kessler seemed slow. And why didn't Kessler try to go wild when his usual style did not work?

It pains me to watch the fight, because Kessler lost. But if Calzaghe had lost it would also pain me. I didn't know who's side to be on in the beginning of the fight but then Calzaghe started to disrespect Kessler and then I hoped for Kessler victory.

It's not because I wan't to marry you or anything but you are actually my favourite poster. There are lots of annoying kids around here. 9 out of 10 posts must be written by 10 year olds.
The Calzaghe/Hatton hate for example is unbelievable. But what can you do. And all that EXPOSED crap. If you win 99 fights and lose 1 then you are exposed. I don't get it.

And you will do anything to criticise it, That's why you continually start these threads, even though in every single one I've seen, someone has made points that you have been unable to answer. Yet you ignore this and carry on as if it doesn't matter. I can see now how you came to believe that the holocaust never happened.

Hopefully he was joking. If not, that's pretty dumb.

They get exposed because they fight nobodies their entire Career and as soon as they step up they lose.

I won't discredit Hatton, he has some solid wins and he at least did try to step up. I don't know why everyone hates him.

It is mostly Calzaghe because he has fought bums his whole Career and is picking old men as fights instead of stepping up like Hatton did and fighting someone like Pavlik, or even Dawson.

It's funny actually, I wish Calzaghe would fight the way he did against Kessler all the time! When he was young he was really hyped as a power puncher and used to KO his opponents quite easily, but it simply doesn't work that way against tougher opponents. I think Calzaghe still wants to be that power puncher and if he thinks he can get away with it he tries to be, hence all his wild shots. This works against lesser opposition, and it can look good then, but there have been lots of times it hasn't and he winds up looking scrappy in his fights.

If he'd tried this with Kessler though, Kessler would have killed him, no doubt about it. He had to play it straight in that fight, commited to it, and IMO turned in his career best performance. If he disciplined himself a bit more and always did it, the Americans would rate him much more highly, I think. Don't get me wrong, his wild style can be very entertaining too, but the fact is it doesn't always work.

Also, you mention Kessler looking slow, he wasn't, he was easily the fastest opponent Calzaghe ever faced, its just that Joe is even faster and Kessler suffered by comparison.

What can I say to this except thanks! You yourself are a rarity on these boards because you actually seem to be interested in boxing. Nice work. You are absolutely right about the majority of posters on the boards, they are imbeciles. **** them, they don't know ****.

              Real nice talking to you.

By definition there can be only 10 in top 10 for example and you can't expect all 10 to have beaten the other 10

In soccer (or any other sport) you are not exposed if you lose a match.
