No its because he would get more money fighting Jones, im 100% certain he will fight Pavlik afterwards, but I don't think Pavlik will beat Hopkins personally. The purpose of the thread worked it was to wind Americans up, mainy because this is the sort of **** British posters have to put up with every single day and its got boring after 3 years.

More false American revised history. Calzaghe said immediately after the Hopkins fight that he wanted Roy Jones next.

Jones was all over Calzaghe's arse during fight weekend trying to secure it. Pity he didnt do that 10 years ago....

Ricky What the hell are you talkin about?

Taylor was undefeated, and You didnt really watch those fights because Taylor beat Hopkins a lot more convincing than Calzaghe.

Calzaghe would have left, actually he had a fight in Denmark & Germany. Ottke was the main reason for the slow progression in Calzaghe's career, personally I think Joe should of stepped up to Light-Heavy a long time ago.

People may see different sides but never the less taylor was undefeated on record and was beat by pavlik.

                  Your another idiot!
Miranda wasnt even a Title holder or a former champ so why even mention him??
As for taylor yes he was half decent and the only former champ on pavlics record but thats the only fighter worth a sqwert of piss on Pavlics record LOL
Look how many former champs Calzaghe has beat Eubank,Reid, woodhall,Brewer,,Mitchell,Lacy,Kessler all have been former world champs !
We cant say that about Pavlic yet can we !?

Ahh i love this excuse. What about Eubank, Benn and Collins? Oh yeah, they were all "scared" of Jones.

Calzaghe called out Jones for years and said he'd easily fight him in America. Jones doesnt say a peep about Calzaghe.

Now, in 2008, Jones chases Calzaghe and the fight is made.

Pity Joe wanted Roy to come to Wales in their primes though eh?.....
