I remember how excited he got about the sport and tok an interest in it almost immediately. As I grew I loved the sport so much I wanted to participate in it so I begged for a pair of boxing gloves. I wanted to get involved with a gym that promoted boxing but my mom wouldn't let me due to the fact she was worried i might get hurt. In an attempt to steer me away from boxing she had me join football. I love the contact but I still loved watching boxing and still wanted to get more involved with the sport.

At about the age of 16 I was in some trouble in school and had a constant issue with getting into scuffles. At that point my uncle took me down to a gym and he said well if you really want to fight then get in teh ring. I have been in a love affair with the sport for years and now I finally got married to it. It has been my second wife ever since. I watch, participate and read about boxing all the time. I love the sport and the brutality of it......Lefty
I remember watching Ali with my dad when I was a little kid. I remember seeing the Hearns-Leonard fight with my grandfather. and I also remember watching Tyson fights with my friends when I was in high school. But I never became a hardcore fan until a boxing trainer asked me if I wanted to box after one of my friends told him I was a tough kid. After that I was absolutely passionet about all aspects of the sport. It started with training and fighting but led to the history of boxing as well. I do Muay Thai now to stay fight and compete once in awhile, but boxing is my first love.

Lol, I remember going to see "Rocky" when I was a little kid and thinking the same thing. When we got home I told my father I wanted to be a fighter and drink raw eggs. He laughed, cracked to in a glass and handed it to me. I then drank em right down only to have them come right back up without so much as the yolks being broken. Lol, boxing was already tougher than it looked in the movies!

I started watching boxing because of Tyson, but I began to love the sport because a boxing match is man vs man and the result of the match is proof that one of the men is more of a man than his opponent. I love the humiliation.

now I love boxing because of the more intellectual aspects of the sport. the sweet science, baby

I was a casual fan up to that point
