The Olympics are proof that today's fighters would beat those from the past

Just look at all these world records. They fall year after year, event after event. I mean, if we see a world record that hasn't been set in the past year or two, it's a shock. Why? Because these athletes get better as time goes on, and they improve on technique getting bigger, stronger, faster, better. I'm not saying that the fighters of the past were bad, they were the best of their time with what they were given. But what time has proven, is that you get better as it passes, and that's why I believe that today's greatest are better than yesterday's greatest.

Anyone who disputes this has fallen victim to nostalgia.

hmm u mention world records and speed size and that and that but boxing skill has nothing to do with high jump and swimming and other sports in which world records can be set and plus, boxing skills overcome speed, power, size disadvantages etc

i think yesteryears vs todays fighters would be interesting

yesteryears would be undoubtedly tougher and have waaaaay more heart

and todays may be a bit stronger, quicker, better conditioned

as for skills...im not sure i see fighters from yesteryear having different more old school styles and i dont know how they would stand up against an upright, hard hitting kind of fighter

i guess it soemthingwe can only ever speculate on

I don't know how you measure toughness and heart.
