in some cases like heavyweight due to size alone but not in all cases.

Fighter back in the day weren't as soft as fighters are now, they lived in tougher conditions, they didn't get paid much meaning they had to fight more. Boxing was also a billion times more popular than it is today which means there are a ton more fighters which means the truly great ones from back then had to fight better opposition than fighters of today.

Yeah but from everything i read and old videos i watch they were alot tougher and had more heart,do you guys agree with that? I'm no expert but from what i have seen it seems like it. In a 15 rd fight that plays a huge part

Sugar Ray Lenoard would dominate Olympic boxing in whatever era. Talent is talent and a lot of all time greats would of done amazing no matter what and probably would of even been greater if they had access to training that fighters have today.

To a degree. But old school fighters had less titles, less divisions, less $, more rds, and tougher fights. A lotta discussions on old school gr8s v current ones are automatically 1 sided for the past gr8s since their eras were tougher. Modern conditioning, training, and sumtimes modern medicines () have produced a lot of superior athletes nowadays. More fighters now are also comin into the game after bein involved in other sports, which adds more versatility to them physically. Old school fighters just fought in tougher times and fought more fights, which becomes hard to argue against on some occasions. Can't say 4 sho whether the past or present has produced gr8er fighters.
