Zab had Mayweather hurt early in the fight.
Mayweather vs Judah was an underrated fight

Zab won the first 3 rounds of the fight, before Floyd adjusted and completely dominated. I really don't see how that constitutes a "close fight".
Jesus, just look at Zab's face at the time of the low-blow compared to Floyds. He was completely outclassed and dominated, and to suggest anything otherwise, you really don't know boxing at all.

And no, at no point was Floyd hurt. The KD should of counted, but it was a result of Floyd being clearly off-balance. If you watched, Floyd shot in with a righthand and missed, while Zab hit him with a right hook at the same time.Last edited by deliveryman; 08-10-2008, 04:04 PM.Comment

Yep. There seems to be a lot of that going around.

Round 1-Judah
Round 2-Judah
Round 3/12 Mayweather
The fight was not close at all. To those saying that off balance knock-down should have counted, Judah should've had at least one point taken away for that ***** **** in the 10th. If you wanted to you could give Judah the 4th when he landed that straight left that put Mayweathers back to the ropes to make it closer. That was the only punch Judah landed that round and Mayweather did the better work. I've noticed that there is a lot of misconceptions about this fight which tells me most never saw it and just took anothers word for it.Comment

I'm not a "Floyd Boy" by any means but I do enjoy the majority of his fights. When people talk about guys who gave Mayweather a good fight, usually the only ones talked about are Castillo & Hernandez... I think Judah did a hell of a job and I think he was the only fighter to ever be on Floyd's level as far as speed is concerned.
The fight was MUCH closer than it was scored. Zab knocked floyd down (his glove hit the ground) when he got rocked with a lightning fast counter. Also Mayweather was well on his way down another time when he hung on to Zabs neck to keep him from falling. Neither of those were scored or recognized. Then to top of it off Zab's lowblow and rabbit punch sealed his fate on the scorecards.
All in all though I think Zab had the right formula that it takes to beat Mayweather. When he fought Castillo the first time he completely didn't look himself. But Zab was really hanging and ****ing with him unlike anyone I've ever seen.
Does anyone agree with me on this?
If you listen to the corner instructions, you hear Roger telling Floyd to stay with the plan. So Floyd just kept stepping forward even though ZJ was firing some pretty good stuff.
Floyd (actually, Roger) didn't want a Zab who was still energetic and fast and powerful late in the fight (like he was against Spinks).
I was impressed by FMJ's performance because he showed a lot of patience and maturity. He landed very good body shots early, even though Judah landed a couple of flashy shots. By round 7, he was punishing Zab.
The fight was not close.Comment

I think it says more about where Zab was at for those two fights. Also, whilst the fight was competitive I wouldn't exactly call it close. Even though you can act like a bit of a tool on occasion I thought you were a bit more knowledgable than to fall into that bull**** of trying to bring down a guy with the skills, resume and accomplishments that Mayweather has.Comment
