Gomez is a heavy favorite to win this one, his boxing skills are superior to Virchis by tenfold. Virchis, however, is one of the most powerful punchers in the HW today and his only loss came by way of MD to Chagaev, which should tell us something. It's a 50/50 fight but I am leaning towards Virchis who is very underrated IMO. Virchis vs. Peter would be very exciting fight.

Big, strong heavyweight from the Ukraine....He is one of the hardest punchers in the world and is very durable, has an iron chin....Virchis is in The Ring Magazine Top 10 rankings.

      Juan Carlos Gomez 43-1, 35 KO's

Gomez is a talented heavyweight from Cuba...He is a southpaw with good technical skills and decent power...He is a top 15-20 Heavyweight.

      Who will win??
wow,,,at those numbers. people are either underrating gomez or overrating virchis. virchis is powerful but very slow and can be out worked. gomez is talented and tough to beat when he's not out of shape or coked out. I like gomez by decision as long as he doesnt get careless but I wouldnt be surpised if virchis thumps gomez to sleep either

Do you really think that Gomez will be the heavy betting favorite? That would surprise me.

i picked vladimir by ko for you.

          i like your alt better.

leave it to you to have an alt that posts smarter than your real self.

i wouldn't be surprised if juan carlos gets a ud win though. maye it'll go like the sinan samil sam fight. juan carlos has great skills and a very good cruiser but he needs to step it up. he's 35 already and he's been fighting 50 yr. old oliver mccall's since moving up. sam at the time was a good win though.

In theory, Gomez should be the favorite, his skills are far superior to Virchis. I've seen a few Virchis fights though and he's got more than a puncher's chance. I hope that Gomez will be the favorite, I'll be betting on Virchis either way for sure.

Gomez is the more skilled fighter, but Virchis is tough as nails and hits hard as hell.

Virchis' knockout of Robert Hawkins was brutal...He dropped Hawkins 3 times and knocked him out in the 5th round with a jab!

That knockout is very impressive because Hawkins is a durable tough guy that went the distance with huge punchers Peter, Tua, Maskaev, etc... he took all their best shots and kept coming.

Virchis/Gomez should be a good fight...I can see Gomez leading on the scorecards until he gets caught, hurt bad and KO'd by Virchis in the later rounds.

                  Virchis KO 10
