As i said before, margarito, just like mayweather, is weighing his financial options, this thread isnt about pitting one group of fans against another, its about explaining why margarito is doing what hes doing, for every 4 mayweather fans that jump on the williams bandwagon soley to spite margarito, there are 20 mayweather haters who are on the opposite spectrum and this thread doesnt stoop to that level. I think margarito and mayweather are doing the exact same thing, except this time, its margarito who is in the top billing position, and now he knows how it feels to have someone breathing down your neck offering you career paydays, the difference is this guy already beat him, which makes the situation that much more difficult.

its hard to judge what Margarito and Arum are truly doing right now when he just barely fought not too long ago. i mean obviously plans are made WAY beforehand but we havent really gotten much info about their plans for magarito except for margarito possibly fighting clottey. for all we know this is just a set up and tryin to squeeze more money from the williams camp or maybe margarito feels he needs more time before he fights williams again. again we dont know what exactly margarito and arum are goin for. mayweather it was always 100 % clear he was goin for the easiest route to the huge payday...

Didnt people accuse Mayweather of ducking Margarito based on the supposely "$8m", Didnt people argue that its impossible for Mayweather to make that sort of amount in a fight with Margarito?

Whats the difference here? Unless Margarito fights Dela hoya the williams payday still represent his biggest payday till date, And if they dont take the williams fight then i would say he did duck williams

I'll tell you what the difference and I think it is very, very important.

Margarito already fought Paul Williams once, and Margarito will fight Paul Williams again. I don't care what anyone says, Margarito did not absorb any kind of damage from the first fight to discourage him from fighting Paul again. He feels like he learned from it and is a better fighter now.

At no point did Mayweather ever consider a fight with Tony, it was never in the cards. As a matter of fact since welterweight (because from what I remember he was willing to meet at 140) Mayweather never showed any interest in Cotto either.

Listen I am not anti-Mayweather by any stretch. I think he did himself and his legacy a disservice by retiring while the division he was at it's best point in years and without facing any of it's top guys. But I don't take away from what he did, I just think he could have done more, or tried to do more and really reach for the status of the all time greats.

The other thing is the Tony will fight Williams down the line, in the near future even though Arum will be an obstacle. Arum sued Tony and Goosen last time for God's sake and they still made the fight, and Tony's supposed to be afraid of Paul? Nonsense.

No i dont get serious or mad. and im no nuthugger i just defend ignorant statements made by posters on here that their intention is purely to hate or are being hypocritical. Sure Margarito is my favorite boxer, that doesnt make me a nuthugger. if margarito were to do something i see wrong i would call him out. that goes for any boxer that i like or respect.

Mayorga is a funny guy but trust me he knows who margarito is. If he beats Mosley he will right after margarito, thats just the way mayorga works n i like him for it lol
