Erik Morales Speaks on Oscar De La Hoya vs. Manny Pacquiao

Mexican great Erik Morales, who faced Manny Pacquiao three times during his career, gave his thoughts on the proposed bout between Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya on December 6 in Las Vegas. If the fight gets made, Pacquiao would have to move up from lightweight to an agreed upon of 147-pounds. Morales says the extra pounds that Pacquiao will pack on is going to tire him out due to the rapid climb in weight. [details]

I guess if it turns into a sparring session like is expected, a lot of people will feel ripped off.

I wouldn't say he is a disgrace but the fight makes no sense other then seeing De la hoya adding another great name to his resume. I could see it happening if there was no one other them to fight each other but their are better opponents for each of them in their own respective weight classes. Manny could fight Hatton just to name one and the fight would make more sense. De la Hoya could fight a list of names but Marg comes to mind but if he doens't want to get hurt before retirement I undersatnd then just don't fight period....Lefty

morales had a lose coming into the pacquiao fight and still beat pacquiao the first time

no need for delahoya to fight pacqiao but money fight and as some one said years later it'll be a name on his resume,

delahoya legacy is that he fought everyone, he needs to fight Margarito

Pacquiao hasn't even adjusted to 135, he tired at the end of the Diaz match, EM is probably right Pacman will tire, especially fighting a bigger man.

I don't see how he's going to win, not a hit on Manny, he's the best fighter out there..but he should fill into 135 for a bit first.
