Oscar wants the weight to be 150 with the 10 oz gloves. That and the money split are the biggest hangups to getting the deal done right now.

I was thinking that if Oscar got the 8oz gloves he's pretty much fighting like a ufc fighter, he's really going to hurt pac with them small ass gloves.

Oscar was fighting with 8 oz gloves for most of his career (until he moved up to 154). People forget that Ali and Frazier fought each other with 8 oz gloves. I think it is a question of the big gloves hurting Pacquiao more than the small ones helping De La Hoya. The UFC fighters use 4 oz gloves.

Oh god the most disturbing part of that interview was when Morales said he will return to boxing in 2009 and will fight in Mexico then USA and plans to leave the sports as "a champion". *shakes head sadly*

Yes. Arum wouldn't bring the fight to Las Vegas unless they changed their rule back. Everywhere else in the US is 8 ounces for 147 on down.
