We all know that 4 million is just a bluff right? I mean, we've seen this before with Arum offering Floyd a career high payday at the time of 8 Milli right and apparently THAT was a bluff no? Or that was different? Was it? Goosen isn't bluffing but Arum was? hmmmmmm
I agree it's unlikely. Richard Schaeffer also said he 'heard' it was a great fight. Mayweather will probably say he didn't even see it and Oscar as well.
How so many people so directly involved in the sport all decided to ignore that fight sounds like BS to me. What's more likely is once Cotto lost everyone developed sudden disinterest and never watched the fight.
they are all friggin , not telling the truth, if they say they didnt watch it ..lol

It's clearly a bluff. Here is the offer:
For one, it's an offer to Arum, not Margarito. He guarantees Arum $4 million for him to provide Margarito for a Williams fight. From there, Arum is going to take a piece and he has to negotiate with Margarito how much of that he's going to get. So no, Goossen did not offer Margarito $4 million guaranteed. I bet Margarito gets like $2.5 million at most. That's about what he took home from the Cotto fight when PPV buys are factored in.
Secondly, although Arum is guaranteed $4 million, Goossen wants a 50/50 split of the revenue. That means the first $4 million goes to Arum, then the next $4 million goes to Goossen. Everything after that gets split between them evenly. So even though Margarito is the bigger name and will be the one carrying this promotion (just like the first fight), Goossen will be the one promoting and making the same money as Arum. No way in hell Arum is going to give Goossen 50/50 when Williams isn't the draw and Goossen knows this.
It's a total bluff and Margarito can make similar money fighting Clottey or Judah. Trust me, if Margarito was getting a guaranteed $4 million the fight would be signed already. The wording is very misleading...
No i disagree, Goosen has a $4m guarantee on the table then a 50/50 split on the PPV, That is a lot of money for Arum/Margarito...Moreover if you can base all your Mayweather ducked Margarito arguement on Arum's "supposely" $8m then i dont think Goosen is bluffing either.
If you agree that Goosen wasnt bluffing then i agree with you that Arum wasnt bluffing mate, YOU cannot have both ways...YOU claimed Mayweather ducked Margarito based on arum's offer BUT now you're trying to downplay Goosen's offer to Margarito?
