    Havn't seen this fight since i first watched it on showtime.

    And really this video isn't a put down. Its clear as daylight if Chavez was in his prime he'd KO Tszyu as it was an old Chavez was still fighting even on short burst. Oh, and Chavez unlike Tszyu never got stopped in his prime. Oh and since this thread is about Margarito, Tszyu never rematched Phillips or Hatton.

      i agree it is a good match for all involved. Marg takes his first step to try and unify the divishion, Clottey gets another crack at revenge for the loss he says is due to the injury, and we as boxing fans get to see two of the title holders go at it to start and try to unify the divishion. i mean its a lot better then seeing both of them fight mandatories right?

        clottey won atleast the first 5 rounds of his fight with margarito and clottey was blocking all of margarito's head shots in the 4th round clottey caught margarito with a mean counter uppercut, i don't know why people make it seem like margarito was beating clottey up i'm not even sure if margarito won the fight but he was the champ at the time so i guess i understand him getting the win but i thought clottey won by a round

          Clottey = UN-DERRATED & UN-DERHYPED

          I see what your saying but keep in mind, Margarito did not easily beat Clottey the first time as you put it. Clottey had not one but two hurt hands in that fight. While it is said that Margarito hurt his ankle severely during training for the Clottey fight, Margarito also thru a record number of punches during that fight and Clottey was not once hurt during that fight.

          I know we all have our own opinion but I'm of the persuasion that Margarito does not beat Clottey in a rematch. Unlike Cotto, Clottey has better defense and a much better chin. He showed that in the first fight. Clottey's only problem is that he doesn't have the hype or name recognition of other welterweights but that will change should this rematch come through.

              Not only did Margarito hurt his ankle, but he also hurt his wrist which caused the Williams fight to be postponed as recommended by a doctor. Now this excuse that Clottey lost because he hurt himself is getting pretty old already.

              If you arent familiar with Clottey, then you wouldnt know that he is almost like Zab Judah where he gases out mentally towards the second half of the fight against real competition and resorts to head butts or low blows.

              Margarito won that night because, unlike Clottey, he did not allow his injuries to come between him and the win. Clottey on the other hand, seemed to have wanted an excuse not to fight hard towards the second half of that fight.

              We'll see in November whats up.

Was it on PPV? cause i have never paid to see a RJJ fight,except against Tito cause i was curious to see how Tito would do after such a long lay off. To get back on topic and to answer your question i would say Tarver won the third fight because he was not a bum like most of RJJ opponents.

                  after all Tarver was in The last Rocky movie so that means he aint no bum LMAO hahaha.
                  wow u never saw rjj/tarver trilogy??? I doubt you are a hardcore boxing fan... not even sure you are a casual boxing fan.

                    if both margarito and clottey were injured then the rematch should happen to settle it once and for all.
