ive come to the conclusion that weigh ins need to be held the morning of the fight, and every boxer needs a good medical check up at the weigh in to make sure they arent badly dehydrated trying to make weight

Which is why my solution is perfect! Lock them in a room, make them drink about a gallon and a half of water and wait for them to piss out the extra.

Weigh-ins should be done with fully hydrated fighters.

How about Celestino Caballero, at 5'10" he's weighing only 122 pounds of ****.. His thin ass should be fighting at 130 to say the least. His Body Mass Index (height=weight) shows he is way too UNDERWEIGHT

As most have already said, it would not be right to impose height restrictions on fighters but it would be a very good idea to have a fight day weigh-in. It really can get dangerous when some fighters bodies are able to put on amazing amounts of weight before the fight and come in weighing twenty pounds more than the other guy. Just have a look at Gatti against Gamache (I think that was his name). That fight was just wrong. Gatti looked three weight divisions above poor Gamache and was very brutally knocked out. Forced retirement for him after that.

There would need to be medical tests done in order to make sure safety is prioritised as a fighters team, or even the fighter themselves, could be willing to stay dehydrated to get to a lower weight which would be very silly and dangerous.

I don't think it is good to take away a fighters natural physical advantages, but, when a fighter is doing too much weight cutting and is able to rehydrate to scary levels then it is not a natural advantage. This could be stopped by having a fight day weigh in. It's a great idea and will hopefully be reimplemented one day.

What do you think guys? Is height really is MIGHT in boxing or skills still prevail over physical advantages?
                No
