When you're old and making ridiculous comebacks, you tend to lose to young bucks. Roberto Duran was 71-1, I repeat 71-1 when he beat Leonard. Leonard stopped him in the rematch. Some posters, they look at an undefeated record and that means everything to them. Like you, for instance.Comment

why even make a thread like this if you already believe that srl is greater than floyd. why even bring it up, i mean, you guys find ways to mention floyd's name in any fashion or form, you discredit his every move, his every saying, his everything. why keep bringing him up? you dumb ****s crack me up. it looks as if you're trying to degrade floyd to the point of making his name mean nothing, but you're only enhancing it. comparing him to srl is one thing, but ****ting on him while comparing to srl, when floyd had better defense, more polished all around. i mean, comapring their resumes is nothing we haven't seen before, because we all know who sugar ray leonard fought and floyd fought, but floyd didn't have a tommy hearns or roberto duran or marvin hagler in his era. he instead had fighters like shane mosley, oscar de la hoya(2 fighters who ducked him openly), ricky hatton, zab judah(2 fighters that lost to him), margarito and cotto(2 fighters that have question marks around their names always. you see, at the smaller weights, floyd didn't fight hamed, cassamayor, freitez, and a few others. who was to blame for that? who knows. he beat angel mafredy in 2 rounds, dominated corrales and hernandez, and fought a good fighter in chavez.
floyd didn't fight all of the best fighters in his weight classes because many of them ducked him. what is he supposed to do. sugar ray was a great fighter, one of the best ever, but don't **** on floyd because floyd didn't have the fantastic four like ray did. cotto, margarito, paul williams, and floyd could have been today's fantastic four, but it didn't pan out that way, but as far as skills go, floyd is a more complete fighter imo, bar none.Comment

that was a pretty sad fight, i was 13 years old when that fight happened so my memories of Sugar Ray Leonard werent exactly expansive, but the fact that camacho who was also past his prime, beat the hell out of ray leonard like that was pretty pathetic, not to mention camacho was well above his best weight, it was one of those things where he shouldnt have came back HOWEVER, i know hagler was loving it.Comment
