                According to some fans, Mayweather is the greatest fighter ever. He was so great that he didn't have to prove it in the ring because that was beneath his greatness.

                  Those aren't real boxing fans though. Those are Floyd fanatics or groupies. Boxing fans, i.e people that are a fan of the sport in general know the real deal. Anyone that says that is a fan of that one particular person and don't really give a **** or follow the rest of the sport.

                    You could argue that the win came fairly shady against Duran though, even SRL himself has admitted it. Duran wasn't at his best at all and rushed by his promoter into the fight.
                    Had Duran not been pushed into the fight the way he was it might have resulted a lot different. SRL did beat him again though years later when Duran was @ Super Middleweight and way past it.
