Floyd Mayweather vs Willie Pep @ 130. Who wins and WHY?

Fair enough. It won't change my mind, since I doubt many on here are Pep followers.

Nonetheless, you can make a fair arguement with what comes of this thread, either way. Though, a p4p argument would be best, 130 will work.

Will'o the Wisp is probably the best 126 pound fighter of all time. You could argue that Floyd is the top 130 has to offer, so this is an interesting fight. It is hard to say but i do know that this fight is going to the score cards. 50-50 fight that most fans would not enjoy (lack of clean punches landing) but in its own way it would be interesting.

After thinking about it for a couple minutes I favor Floyd by a small margin because Floyd is the bigger man. Great bigger man > great smaller man

Pep was only beaten consistantly by Saddler who was powerful, unorthadox, rangy and one of the most dirty fighters of all time. Pep would win.

I know, Sandy isn't a good example. He is a dirty fighter. I think we can all agree they never faced opponents like eachother. I'm picking Floyd because he was just a beast at 130. I never seen a fighter at 130 with speed and accuracy like Mayweather PLUS Mayweather had alot of power at 130.

Mayweather UD. Willie was great, although the style and foot movement he used was primitive. Mayweather has a little too much arsenal. It wouldn't be easy, but he would win.
