it's one of the reasons Steward is getting less respect as a trainer. he gave Cintron no game plan against a guy so easy to figure out
Cintron is not physically capable of doing what Floyd might do to Tony, and Steward knew that and hoped that Cintron's power would prevail. He told Kermit not to take that fight but Cintron wanted it bad. Cotto also tried to fight a less physical fight but he was dragged into it by the constant assault.

I wouldn't rule out Cotto beating Floyd either, even though I would lean towards PFB the fight is no gimme. I think it's safe to say Floyd wouldn't invest enough in trying to punish a guy with Cotto's power and it could lead to a good fight if Cotto landed a few clean ones and slowed him down.

Diego, if you don't start being nice again I'm gonna have to bump that thread you made slagging off Floyd pre-bandwagaon.

      Play nice now.

        Styles make fights.

Cotto would give Floyd a run for his money.

To beat Tony you have to box, Cotto is not a master boxer, and Tony's chin is just that durable and look at the outcome.

        Styles make fights!

He hasnt even fought that many styles. Castillo nearly beat him. And i cant stop laughing at the parenthesis. One working arm, yea, that would explain why he threw it so freely.

You show that to a person whos never seen it before, they wouldnt be able to tell u which arm was hurt and which wasnt. Didnt effect Mayweather at all.

Wasnt even that badly injured, he is just such a massive ***** that he actually complained about it afterward to make an excuse.

For Floyd to throw 1600 punches in one fight, he would have to be on drugs.

And this is not indicating that he needs to.

This guy lost to a slow, telegraphing every punch, untalented walking chin with 5 losses.

I'll always use this situation as a basis for deciding if a guy knows what he's talking about because there were actual "experts" out there who thought this guy was the real deal. HBO was all over him, hoping he would be for them what Mayweather wasn't.

Well, the truth hurts and this guy has no chance of ever coming close to Mayweather type greatness now.
yeah any guy who loses a fight is horrible, sucks and should just retire. Leaving us with Guzman,Mayweather, Pavlik and Calzaghe to duke it out and be the last man standing.......And then boxing should just cease being a sport.

Leonard lost to Duran (and visa versa)
                Duran lost to Hagler
                Hagler lost to Leonard

Styles make fights. and losing doesnt make someone overrated.

I always forget that you rate fighters based on how macho they are. Now I remember why your favorites were always guys with little ability but lots of heart (Pavlik, Hatton, Corrales, etc). Why do you even watch boxing if you have no respect for great fighters with real ability and not just chins and toughness?

Many had the Castillo Mayweather fight in favor of Castillo.

Floyd picked his fights wisely after that... he was great at 135.... at 140 and 147 he's overrated.
