Prime Hopkins = Draws and gets Knocked down by Mercardo twice.

Prime Hopkins = Fights Robert Allen three times

      LOL

Only reason they fought three times is because Allen was his mandatory. The first fight had to be canceled after a few rounds and the fight rescheduled. Hopkins beats him easily. Later down the road (5 years later) Allen becomes his mandatory AGAIN by working his way back to being the #1 contender.

That's just the way it was with bhop, he beat every single opponent they threw in front of him.

And his "draw" against Mercardo, how can that be considered his prime? he didn't even win a belt yet.

Shame he never stepped up to LHW and looked for bigger challengers until late in his career when he had an excuse for losing.

huh? why would he step up to light heavy when he was busy being champion and trying to become the first person to UNIFY the middleweight division since hagler? lmao, you say that and Calzaghe held on to ONE belt for 10 years before stepping up to a real challenge (lacy). idiot.

Hopkins waited 7 years to fight Trinidad.
Calzaghe waited 9 years to fight Lacy.

And this is with Hopkins being backed by HBO (big money). National bias once again, losers.

LOL @ waiting 7 years to fight Trinidad. Trinidad was never even an option. He only became an option when Trinidad went to middleweight and won a belt, immediately hopkins fought him and took his belt. Trinidad fought at middlweight in May of 2001, then fought Hopkins in Sept 2001.
