Unsettling but yeah, he might have a point. The stars that were big in boxing still are in the boxing world and well known to casual fans, but they're on the brink of leaving from the sport (Hopkins, DLH, Mosley, Jones)...and once they do, it'll be hard for boxing stars to be terrific at their craft while STILL being well known as the stars of the past, since MMA is becoming more mainstream than boxing, but even I'm not so sure about that.

he's a headhunter, throws wild punches, has average defense, fights out of control at times... is that reason enough?

berto is a very good fighter. i think he should fight cintron. would be entertaining and a test for him. but he should prevail, and then in about 18 months he should fight margarito or cotto....and then williams. i see berto moving up to lmw or mw later on in his career. hes only 5''8.5 but he has a stocky and muscular build and would fill out well. boxrec has him fighting forbes on the 27th of september....although as we know they arent the most reliable when it comes to dates scheduled......

average defense, fights out of control sometimes, headhunter....are you talking about Israel Vazquez the man in your sig? Because Those apply to him just as much as Berto. Yet you like Vazquez and not Berto. Neither Vazquez or Berto really neglect the body too much either. Vazquez is just more proven, far more proven. But no, your reason dont make sense because you like other fighters with the same flaws.

berto and shane mosley would be a great fight... i think thats bertos level rightt now... a 36 yr old mosley is about even with him in my opinion...

the biggest factor in this fight to me, would be shane doesnt move his head any more, and bertos jab is fast explosive and powerful...

I like Berto and think he's a nice addition to the WW division but I would really like to see him step up the quality of guys he's been fighting to someone within or just outside the top 10 WW's. Mosley would be a good fight but I feel like Collazo would be the best option for him at this point. Mosley next if he gets past Collazo. All in all, he's quick agile and reminds me of a more aggressive Mayweather, just way more humble.

He looked more impressive before his HBO Debut.

He has it in him to demolish but he looked like he let Rodriguez fight with him a couple rounds.

but over the past few days i have rewatched Bertos fights against Rodriguez, Trabant, Estrada, Rivera, Bravo, Figueroa, Galvan, and Robinson.

His offense is amazing. His punches are like lazers, he mixes his shots up very well, has a great jab, works the body. He has very good instincs in the ring and that uppercut he has is no joke.

but theres just something about him, i dunno. I dont think he could deal with pressure. With a fighter that really believes they can beat him and dont yield to him, and has talent of course, i dont think he could handle it. Well im not sure. Im interested to see how this kid turns out.

He has had great performances on HBO and its weird hes still not a star. Maybe cause hes Hatian? Like Dave Chappelle said, when Elian Gonzalez came here, thank got he was cute, because if he was Hatian they would have turned that little boat around and sent him back to the ocean lol.

                      thats my boy!!!.. .DAVE CHAPPELLE
