How can you not be impressed by Andre Berto?

I have never been big on him at all, not even close.

but over the past few days i have rewatched Bertos fights against Rodriguez, Trabant, Estrada, Rivera, Bravo, Figueroa, Galvan, and Robinson.

His offense is amazing. His punches are like lazers, he mixes his shots up very well, has a great jab, works the body. He has very good instincs in the ring and that uppercut he has is no joke.

but theres just something about him, i dunno. I dont think he could deal with pressure. With a fighter that really believes they can beat him and dont yield to him, and has talent of course, i dont think he could handle it. Well im not sure. Im interested to see how this kid turns out.

He has had great performances on HBO and its weird hes still not a star. Maybe cause hes Hatian? Like Dave Chappelle said, when Elian Gonzalez came here, thank got he was cute, because if he was Hatian they would have turned that little boat around and sent him back to the ocean lol.

I see him taking out Cotto and Margarito in the future...

I think the welterweight division's future belongs to Williams and/or Berto

Well he has a questionable chin. He was dropped recently on FNF this past year by um Rivera. He still has not faced someone who is a top 10 WW. He has all the tools be be a great champ for years to come but I would like to see him tested. I would love to see him face a guy like Cintron who can hurt him and is a step up in class.

Cotto and Margarito......the two fighters i think have the best chance to beat him. They will pressure him, they will go in feeling superior, they wont play his game. They will make it very rough on him.

I think Berto vs Steve Forbes is a decent matchup. Berto will make a big statement if he knocks Forbes out.

I am impressed with him. I like the way he fights. I don't think he has the necessary tools to hang with the real big boys at WW yet but he is certainly a top prospect for the future. I look forward to seeing how far he can go.

He's pretty impressive but I want to see him step it up in terms of opposition, he looks like a very good offensive fighter and his defense seems to have tightened up but he still has a questionable chin, it'll be interesting to see how he does against better opposition.

I don't know why you think that. Forbes will be fighting various lbs over his ideal weight. Forbes has a good chin and that is it. It might be a more competitive sparring session. I don't think it is a decent fight at all. It shouldn't be his first defense of a title. Forbes as never been a welterweight fight I believe.
